NOW - MY LOOK AT WELLNESS
Anti-aging, looking younger, I have personally found is a process. It's not surgery, tummy tucks, botox or anything like that at all. Recently, during my last visit to a VA doctor ( I've met some good docs there) he handed me a copy of the report he has in my file. A comment that he made fit me appropriately, he stated: 'very fit, appearing 15years younger than stated age'. Now I don't know about you, but 'that's what I'm talkin about' as the vernacular goes. In fact, in the several years that I have been getting annual exams, year after year, they keep saying 'keep up with whatever it is you are doing.'
Well that has been my goal, it's why I eat the way that I do, exercise, breath, drink plenty of water and continually work on my thinking. This has been the basis for living a pain free, well life. Do things happen, yes sure, but my philosophy and actions are to take responsibility for myself and my own wellness. I listen to any diagnosis there may be, then I research and work any changes necessary into my life. Drugs are typically not an answer for me, mostly because there are safer, natural means to give my body the tools that it needs to 'heal itself'. After all that is the healer, if it has the proper tools.
We here in the western culture have learned some pretty bad habits, especially where feeding our bodies is concerned. But, you know what? Habits can be changed. After all we learned it in the first place, didn't we. We are able to make decisions and walk those decisions out. For me, making a decision to live in 'wellness' was a very important decision. When I watch and see other folks who have made the decision to eat less responsibly I typically see the many doctor visits, drugs, aches and pains that ensue.
Young is a decision, wellness is a decision, happiness is a decision, life is a moment to moment decision. I can't live your life, it's a full time job living my own, but I can share what has been and is successful for me. It's not that hard to do. I have found that the body gives great rewards of wellness when it is cared for and fed properly. Want to look and live young? Start by making a decision.
