Friday evening in Narangba, and Margaret, the Love of My Life, has gone out to dinner without me.
The Library staff at Sandgate, where she has been acting team leader for more than a year, has invited her to a farewell dinner, which is nice. Except that I miss her heaps and she has only been away half an hour!
I am having some struggles settling into a life without teaching, but my psychiatrist has told me quite bluntly that I have to really cut down on my activities or he will have to take drastic measures. He then told me just what those measures are, and I am definitely taking his advice! I neither want to go into hospital nor to go back onto medication, so I will be just doing a little Yuwie-ing, a little writing, a little family togethering, and a little holidaying.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and that the week ahead is all that you may have wished for and more.
I’m back! (you missed me, didn’t you? ... Umm, you DID know I wasn’t here, didn’t you?)
It has been a difficult time in my life, these past few months, and my journey has taken yet another new direction. If you have a little time, please check out my latest blog entry.
I hope your life has been going wonderfully well, and that you are finding heaps of love, and laughter and fulfilment in your every day.
I intend to drop in on every one of my friends in the next week or so, so expect a visit from me.
It’s been a long, hard week for me, but, when I sat down to write my Yuwie message below, I seemed to have gotten some of my optimism back:
When nothing seems to work out right, When all your fingers turn to thumbs, Remember this, through the darkest night – Morning always comes.
When your dreams have all dropped out of sight, When it seems too hard to carry on; The dawn will bring the new day’s light, And light the path you journey on.
Have a joyful weekend, and, if you have time, please check out my new blog entry and poem. With warmth,
It seems like I’ve been down, now, for such a long, long time, Life didn’t have much purpose, no reason, and no rhyme; I didn’t have a focus, I couldn’t find a dream; There wasn’t any energy, I’d run right out of steam. But when the night was darkest, And my spirits most forlorn, Came the sun to drive out shadows – Ah! The joyfulness of dawn!
May your week be filled with wonder and small miracles, and many triumphs of the spirit, with much love, and the laughter of life! And, if you get a moment, please check out my new blog entry. With warmth, Norm
