Below is a site where you can go to hear a song my daughter, Sonya, wrote, recorded, & published. She does all the singing. It has also been copywritten.
People living in poverty and suffering from hunger is something that is hard to talk about. But, World poverty, World hunger, absolute poverty, and poverty in America are terms that are becoming common. Orphans are not the only ones that are suffering from extreme poverty and hunger. Check out this website on World Poverty, World Hunger
I want to paint museum pieces that will drop people to their knees to worship God. I love to paint portraits. Murals are fun because I get to work really, really big with lots of details. I like to sing and play guitar. I like the fact that people still like to hear me do it, too. My favorite thing to do is have a glass of wine with my friends, maybe smoke a cigar. I love that my wife likes to do that, too, although not the cigar part. So you don't worry, I only smoke them maybe once or twice a week. I have a glass of wine every night with my wife. I love just being with my wife doing whatever. I am enjoying reading the Bible in the morning, God speaking to me through it. He reminds me what He had to say through the day. I've been through some pretty rough things the past few years and He's been a great friend to have.

Movies:
FAVORITE: Probably "The Christmas Carol" filmed in the eighties featuring George C. Scott as Scrooge. We have built a family tradition around it. We usually watch it after our meal on Thanksgiving to prepare us for Christmas. Then, we watch it in between then and Christmas Eve. Finally, we watch it once more on Christmas Eve. Throughout the years, we have developed little jokes that we shout out during the movie. For instance, when Tiny Tim says "God bless us, everyone," we shout, "shut up, Tim!"
LAST MOVIE: I'm embarrassed to say, it was "Transformers". My daughter, Talia, bought it and had us watch it as a family.
TV:
Books:
The Bible (it's a good book) along with "My Utmost For His Highest", a devotional by Oswald Chambers. Otherwise, I read a lot of instructional manuals and "fix-it" books.
Heroes/Idols:
MOST ADMIRE: My Dad, who was the best at his job in a "dark" industry yet still was known to everyone as the guy to go to for prayer. He was known as "good-hearted Al".
INSPIRING: The men from the Renaissance period, who gave 115% of themselves to growing at whatever task was before them. Da Vinci was not only a great painter but he was great at science, philosophy, politics, seeking God, sculpting, medicine, inventing, etc. The list goes on. I want to be a Renaissance man.
REMBRANDT VAN RIJN: He both inspires as well as challenges me in many, many ways. I will spend the rest of my life learning about how he did what he did, how I can apply that to my own work as an artist.
