They are on wood bases, with an 8-1/2" x 11" Picture, and a 1-3/4" x 7-3/4" Gold Plate on a 2" x 8" Blue Back plate that states:

2008 won 8 gold medals in Olympics, Beijins, China or Greatest olympian, 14 total gold medals

6 in Athens, and 8 in Beijing.
