Success on Yuwie: The Bountiful Banquet and the Three-Foot Forks

I'm sure you've heard this several times, so bear with me if I'm "preachin` to the choir" here: The money you make on Yuwie is money that goes to your friends ...

That's right; you don't get any money unless your friends make it for you!

It reminds me of a story a preacher told in the movie Ms. Scrooge: in Hell--he said--you work hard all day and you come home to a huge banquet-hall with the most-delicious food you've ever seen. Problem is, there's a rule you have to follow---you have to use the silverware you're given: forks three-feet-long.

(And you know it's impossible to feed yourself with a three-foot-long fork, so--in Hell--you're doomed to starve.)

In Heaven--he went on--you also work all day, come home to the same banquet-hall,  with the same rule as the one in Hell. But you never think of feeding yourself and thus are well-fed as you go about feeding others who go about feeding others (including you).

Go now! & visit/rate/comment on all others' pages without regard to whether they 'feed you' or not ... although you will be expected to 'feed those who feed you' before going on to feed all the rest!

Come Here & Discuss This Johnny Lang Lyric - 'You Get What You Give'

It was mislabeled here on another Yuwie-er's submission--only one wrong word, but a fairly-important one.

The song was mostly that chorus and Johnny Lang's guitar/scat solo (with a little opening verse about some girl who thought that she was supposed to get all this good stuff in a relationship when she hadn't given anything ... or something ...)

If I were to argue against "Get What You Give," I would bring up the fact that 'you cannot give what you do not have, and thus you have to get before you can give.'

But that's not exactly true. Sometimes you give something by intending to give it once you have it (e.g. I tell you 'If I had a gazillion dollars to spare, I'd build a Buddhist temple and invite all the followers I could,' and one of you donates to me--not 'a gazillion dollars,' but rather the deed to the property and the paid construction orders).

And sometimes you get so well-known for giving and using-wisely, you are given more-and-more to also use so-wisely.

Which is one reason that I always tithe out of what I am given. That, and I live to show others the way to live!

What do you 'give' in your life?
